INSTALLING TIE Z'S ONTO THE SHOELACES
Before you begin, make sure the child is wearing the shoe. Now make an “X” with your laces and flip it through.
1. Take the first shoelace and make a loop. Tie Z’s #1 and #2 are placed on the shoelace where you are pinching the loop. Mark those two spots on the lace. Apply Tie Z’s at marked locations. Push the top end of the Tie Z through the shoelace. Apply the bottom piece like a snap to secure it in place. Repeat for the second Tie Z. (It may be helpful to use a pencil to poke a “starter” hole through some kinds of shoelaces)
2. Next, wrap the other lace around that loop and begin to push it through. Mark that spot before bringing the lace all the way though. This is where Tie Z #3 is placed. Apply Tie Z at the marked location. Push the top end of the Tie Z through the shoelace. Apply the bottom piece like a snap to secure it in place.
3. Repeat this process on the second shoe.
**Please note, this works for right or left handed children. Right handed children will have their loop on the right side, where the first two Tie Z’s are placed. Left handed children will have their loop on the left side, where their first two Tie Z’s are placed.
